Guess Who We Invited In? Visas for Terrorists

Guess Who We Invited In? Visas for Terrorists

In what can be characterized as either complete naïveté or hopefully, a stealth transactional four D chess move; the US Department of State in consultation with US leaders in the intelligence, diplomatic, political and economic sectors, have issued a visa to two time terrorist leader of Al Nusra and Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) - Syrian Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, aka al Jawlani, born as Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa.

Mohammed al-Jolani also has the dubious distinction of a career working with many of the most ruthless terrorists in the Middle East, including“fighting with ISIS/Daesh” and serving as Al Qaeda-in-Iraq leader, Abu Musab Al Zarqawi’s deputy assistant.

Re-branding himself as a “resistance fighter” and a “rebel statesman”, Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa is now in the the United States as the (unelected) President of Syria. He was invited by the United Nations to speak in front of the UN General Assembly in New York City and granted a visa from September 20-September 25, 2025.

An avowed jihadi commander who once had a $10 million dollar bounty on his head, both the bounty and the official designation of al-Jolani as a terrorist were “lifted” under the previous administration’s State Department by the Assistant Secretary of Near Eastern Affairs, Ms. Barbara A Leaf. Ms. Leaf was a key advisor during the Obama and Biden administration to former US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
