Jo is an educator, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner, a writer and an analyst.
She was a Sundancer, a US Army certified combat analyst, a student of martial arts and a performing arts professional.
She is an avid hiker, reader, swimmer and animal lover.
Jo is a mother of a son and a daughter-Denali (1988-2013) and Sequoia Schmidt, and former wife of the late USAF PJ, mountain guide and climber Martin W. Schmidt. (1960-2013).
